Anyone can come up with a blog these days and he or she can do anything with it. A person can even have more than one blog to call his own. Yet have you ever really thought about the reason that you blog? It is sad to see a lot of people hearing things about how blogging can make you money so they all jump into the bandwagon with the sole purpose of making money – no matter what.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am all for making money through blogging. There is nothing wrong with that. What feels a bit off is focusing solely on that and forgetting everything else. By everything else, I mean the audience and providing quality content. In any case, what I am trying to put in the forefront right now is a different kind of blogging – blogging for a cause, for something that you believe in.
There are a lot of blogs out there that fall under this category – people blog for something they believe in, something they are really passionate about. It can be political, religious, environmental, medical, or whatever – the basic principle is the same: writing about something that you really believe in. I believe that blogs that have this element in them are destined to become great – one way or another.
If you truly believe in something and share it with others, you will somehow reach one or all of your objectives. While working for this cause, you may even earn some revenue while you are at it.
