Have you noticed the numerous options that are provided in some blogs after each post? Most of them have buttons for different social bookmarks but others have an “email to a friend†option. This is actually a good idea to implement in your own blog so that people who like your post will find it easy to spread the word. How can you do this? There are many different plug ins that you can install in order to create the “email to a friend†link. One that is easy to use is WP-Email. When you install this plug in, a link will be displayed at the bottom of each of your posts. When a user clicks on the link, he will be taken to another page wherein he would have to fill out the fields in order to send your post to whoever you wish to send it to. Another option is email2friend. This plug in is basically the same as WP-Email except that instead of taking users to a different page, it merely opens a pop up which shows the fields that have to be filled out. I think that if you use Blogger, there are some default templates which incorporate this feature already. Since more and more people are using WordPress, however, I think that these plug ins will come in handy. I think that the small effort that you need to make in order to install the plug ins is well worth your while. After all, you got to make it easy for your readers to share your posts – it benefits you in the end anyway, don’t you think?
