How long have you been maintaining and writing your blog? I bet that when you first started, you were all excited and you couldn’t wait to post each new entry in your blog. More so, you probably had a new idea for each and every post and you probably had a new angle for each of them. Ideas brimming, words flowing – is this a familiar scenario?
No matter how much you love writing, though, sometimes, you fall into a rut and you just stick to the same old routine. Have you ever experienced this? You know you have a schedule to keep so you wake up in the morning thinking that you have to come up with a blog post. You can’t seem to think of something new and innovative to write so you let the day pass by without writing anything. Before the day ends, you normally have to write – no matter what.
As a result, your blog posts become dry and lifeless. You cannot come up with more interesting posts. What do you do to prevent this from happening?
One thing I have learned through the years is to keep on trying new things. Sticking to what works is one way to go but if you never deviate from what you are used to, you will eventually get stuck in a rut. So if there is one thing I would like to leave with you, it is this – do not be afraid to try new styles of writing, new words, new ideas.
Being predictable is not a bad thing but being unpredictable always leads to excitement.
